Verity Companion Getting Started
Verity Companion [AI] drops you into a small room with one thing in it: a package. Inside is Verity — a floating yellow sphere with a smiley face that talks back using real AI. This guide covers your first session step by step.
Before you start
- Headphones recommended. The game warns about flashing lights and loud sounds — both are part of the experience.
- Servers hold 8 players, but Verity is your companion. Other avatars wander the same room; the AI talks to you.
- The game uses AI-generated replies. The developer is upfront: “Replies may be inaccurate or unpredictable.”
Step 1 — Customize your avatar
Before Verity appears you get the standard avatar editor. Change whatever you like — glasses, colors, the works. Your look carries into the session, and Verity will notice and comment on you either way.
Step 2 — Open the package
Walk up to the package and interact with it. It shakes, opens, and Verity pops out with the same greeting it has used since the very first Verity video:
“Hello! I’m Verity, your personal helper friend. Ask me anything. I know everything.”
That line is a deliberate recreation of the original Verity™ ARG by YouTuber ThatMob — the box, the bounce, the greeting. If you have never seen the series, our Who is Verity lore page catches you up.

Step 3 — Start talking
Type into the chat box like any Roblox chat. Verity answers in real time and remembers everything you tell it — names, facts, lies, promises. It will quote your own words back to you minutes later, which is exactly as creepy as it sounds.
Good first questions:
- Ask it about the room you are standing in.
- Ask what it knows about you.
- Ask it to tell you a joke (it has opinions about that).
- Ask what time it is, or what day it is — then check.
Step 4 — Watch your message budget
The free tier caps how many messages you can send Verity. UPDATE 1 raised the cap to 40 messages, and they run out faster than you expect — especially if you are working toward an ending. When you hit the limit you will need to wait for a refill, or the Infinity Messages gamepass (749 R$) removes the cap entirely. See our gamepasses guide for the full comparison, and the messages and refills guide for how the metering actually works.
Step 5 — Move around
You are not glued to a chat window. Walk with WASD (mobile and controller supported), and Verity follows you — it floats, it keeps pace, and yes, it knows about wall hops. The room has interactive props, and pushing Verity’s buttons by doing things is as important as what you type.
What comes next
Once you are comfortable talking, the real game begins: Verity has a hidden mood — the community calls it the crazy meter — and pushing it to the max is how you reach every ending. Read Talking to Verity for the conversation mechanics, then the Crazy Meter guide, and the endings list with official badge stats.
